One Year Bible Begins this Week

The One Year Bible plan begins this Wednesday! This plan is designed to help you choose your own pace!  Each day has readings from both the Old Testament and the New Testament, so that you may choose to:

• Read the entire Bible in 2025 (approximately 3-5 chapters per day)
• Read through only the Old Testament (approximately 2-3 chapters per day)
• Read through only the New Testament (1 chapter per day)

There are new readings available every Monday through Friday, with weekends available for catching up or further study. Each day will have an accompanying devotional and reflection questions to help you further explore the reading for the day.

The One Year Bible plan is easily accessible from your phone or tablet from the My New Hope app. If you have not yet downloaded the app, you can find it here. Once in the app, click the Bible tab, then click Plan from the Bible menu, then select the day you would like to read. You can then scroll through the reading for that day or click the play button to listen.

To access the devotional content through the My New Hope app, click One Year Bible from the main menu. You will then be able to select the day you would like to read. New content will be available at 5 AM each weekday morning.

You can access the Bible plan and devotional content by using a web browser on your computer or mobile device on the New Hope Church website. You can navigate through the main menu by clicking Next Steps, then One Year Bible. You can also navigate directly to the One Year Bible page by accessing https://mynewhope.life/bible. New posts containing the list of scriptures for the day as well as the devotional content will be available daily at 5 AM.

Before you begin your reading each day, we encourage you to approach scripture with prayer. Take a few moments to invite God into your time in the Bible by praying these simple but powerful prayers:

• God, give me wisdom, knowledge, and understanding.
• Let any knowledge I gain help me love You and others more, and not puff me up.
• Help me see something new about You that I’ve never seen before.
• Correct any lies I believe about You or anything I misunderstand.
• Direct my steps according to Your Word. Amen.
